In No Particular Order

Getting There!

We have a first assembly of the film!  Next step, handing it over to the awesome Brian Lyster to do a pass at the sound.  Once we have a watchable version, we’ll be doing a small test screening for feedback, and will make some more cuts and polishing where needed.   One million and three thank yous to Terry for taking more time out of his life to edit this for us. This movie would not have happened without him.

INPO2012

Happy New Year, everyone!

The footage is safely in Terry’s capable hands for the edit, and if the stars align we are hoping for a festival premiere early fall, 2012.

Attempting to teach myself how to navigate Final Cut (just for fun, with the backup footage) has given me a whole new level of respect for the editing and post production process… another entire beast on it’s own.  Especially when you are dealing in the very low (no) budget realm.  Plan is to apply for some post-production funding to help finish this baby.

Regardless, I am so happy to be starting the year with footage from a fully shot feature film resting in a little harddrive on my desk, and am reminded of how hard everyone worked every time I watch it.

Still holding my breath for the phone call from Terry where all he says is “Um- that scene’s gonna need a re-shoot”. :)

AND THAT’S A WRAP

There will be lots more posts, updates and photos to come.  But for now, all I have to say is thank you.

Thank you to Terry, for taking this on and making it a reality for me, and directing the hell out of it.

Thank you to my co-producers, Casey and Michelle, for convincing me I couldn’t do everything on my own (which, as it turns out, COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE TRUE) and being the most reliable, dedicated, organized and wonderful humans possible throughout the entire shoot.

Thank you to the crew.  My unbelievable, funny, kind, talented, good looking, ridiculously-good-at-their-jobs crew.  There are not enough positive adjectives in the english language to describe how great these folks were.  Seriously, you guys.  I hope we make a million more films together.

And to the cast.  Holy cow, the cast. You all brought more to the table than I could have ever imagined when I sat down and started to type some words on a screen two years ago. I am re-inspired as an actor after working with you all… THANK YOU.

This project ended up being far beyond what I had hoped for.  What an AMAZING experience.

WOOHOO!

DAY ELEVEN!

Byron and Anna rigging some sort of crazy sun flagging situation.

And also, a magical branch that looks oddly like an arrow pointed at Casey’s head.

Day eleven and going strong!  Looking forward to the next three nights- filming some awesome dinner party action with Sonja, Stephen, and Ben.
